How do I ignore your parents? How do I live my own life? How can I at least live peacefully?

How can i ignore my parents? I am in college, but my parents seem to go over everything. I tried giving them silent treatment, but it didnt work out so well, now I need help. They want me to live in their ways. They want me to be their slave, like I have to sit down when they will say, and stand up when they will tell me to. You see? Please help me out. I am in a real need.
