How long do you have to be separated to get a divorce?

My wife wants a divorce. I am still hoping to have some time to talk her out of it though. She wants to do it next month. My question though is do we have to be separated for any length of time to get a divorce? We live in Kansas. No kids and completely uncontested. I don't want the divorce but were trying to handle it peacefully. She is planning to get an online divorce kit to start it. Thank you
