My cat's tried to kill a bird and now iv taken it in, will it die tomorrow?

I'm not 100% sure on how much the bird got frightened or attacked by my cat's. My mum just called me out, I saw the bird trying to fly away but instead he hid behind a pot, my mum and I took the cats inside and we rescued the baby thrush bird. Iv put it in a box with a bowl of worms, a tiny cup of water and a small towel for him to sleep in but i'm worried that he might go into shock overnight and die. Iv checked up on him a few minutes ago and he was sleeping peacefully and breathing (what looked to be) normal but is there a chance he might die overnight?
